Obedience

​2 Classes:

  1. Children/Teens (5-17 years old)

    • Bonus points: Get your dog to do tricks (ex: dance, give paw, fetch, etc.)

  2. Adults (Judging is harsher)

​In order to become a winner, your dog must amass a certain amount of points.

 

These points are tallied by all 3 judges with up to 5 points available per judge, allowing you to gain 15 points in one category.

Agility

​​2 Classes:

  1. Beginner (On leash)

  2. Intermediate (leash optional)

​

**No Handler can touch their dog during the course, but are to encourage their dog with treats.

In this agility event, judging is based on age and experience. This is an exciting event for all to see and participate in.

 

There is a starting point and when the Lead Judge indicates “time starts now” one judge will start the timer and the other judge will watch the dog to see that it completes the tasks. There will be a leash pole for the next up dog.  


Course: Start point, jump two hurdles, go through tunnel, rest spot for 3 seconds, the A frame, up than  down making sure to touch appointed spot on frame, hoop jump, two more hurdles and weave 5 poles then to the finish line.  Clock stops.

Please remember it is a fun day and every dog can try out whether experienced or not. It is a fun course.


 

Dog of the Day / Best of Show

​2 Classes:

  1. Dog of the Day (5-17 years of age)

    • Dressed event!

  2. Best of Show (Adult)

    • Undressed

​Dog of the Day

In this portion of the show, the child/teen handlers will have a chance to show off their pooch dressed to the K-9‘s.  Here they get to show off to the crowd. 

 

Everyone enters the ring all at once where they will be judged and awarded. We believe every dog is a star!

​

Best of Show

All dogs will enter the ring again with the adult handlers while they are paraded and judged on: 

  • Stance

  • Coat

  • Obedience

  • Strut/trot

 

**The judges will be handling and inspecting the dogs.
